Although he is best known for his time as a wrestler and then actor, Dwayne was a promising NFL prospect and even received a scholarship from the University of Miami. He played for the Miami Hurricanes’ national team and went to sign with the Calgary Stampeders in Canada, but after an injury-prone season, he left NFL and made the switch to wrestling.
